Park City Autumn AloftLabor Day marks the end of summer in Park City, but many Park City locals will tell you #fall is the best time to #visitparkcity. Fall in Park City incredible colors, warm days, cool nights, with golfing, hiking, biking, and back-to-school shopping at its best. Fall is certainly my favorite time of year; the kids are back in school, the leaves are turning, and the cool weather is much appreciated after a longer, hotter than normal summer in Park City.  Just take a look outside, the hills are already dotted with fall colors.

Park Silly Sunday Market

Park Silly Sunday Market

Park Silly Sunday Market
Plan to spend the full day at Park City’s favorite activity, the Park Silly Sunday Market.  It’s a great place for family and friends to gather, share stories, shop and enjoy the people. It is held every Sunday from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, but ends on September 25, 2016. Enjoy live music, activities and games for kids, face-painting, a Farmers’ Market with amazing produce and foods, and lots of booths full of unique gifts and artwork.

Park City Farmers Market
The Park City Farmer’s Market is held every Wednesday from noon to 6:00 PM at Canyons Resort, chocked full of fruits, vegetables, and with the holiday season coming, unique Christmas gifts, great food, and music. The Market runs through October 26, so makes plans to visit and stock up.

Park City Autumn AloftOne of my favorites no matter what time of year is hot air ballooning over Park City. The view from high above Park City is breathtaking, and being up in the sky at sunrise is one of my most memorable experiences. And, don’t miss our favorite fall activity, the Park City Autumn Aloft Hot Air Balloon Festival return September 16-18, 2016.

Golfing is great throughout the summer season, but especially breathtaking in the fall. You’ll spend much of your time just enjoying the scenery as you make your way around the 18-hole Park City Golf Club.

Another don’t miss this fall, Thriller at the Egyptian Theater!  A ghoulish dance of monsters and maniacs, creeps and clowns. It is mystifying, mesmerizing, and morbid. An annual tradition and always a sell-out!   I’ve got my tickets already, how about you?

The highlight of the fall season is Howl-O-Ween on Main Street.  Bring the kids, “big” trick-or-treat bags and the dogs in costume and enjoy the fun and festivities on Main Street.

Park City scenic drives are my fall favorite!  One of my favorite drives is from Park City, over Guardsman Pass, down to Midway, then up to Cascade Springs (one of my photos from last year’s drive to Cascade Springs), over the top on the Alpine Scenic Loop and ending at Sundance Resort for lunch.  Don’t forget your camera, it’s one spectacular adventure.  Plan an hour, or spend the day on one of the mapped Park City scenic drives from Park City to our surrounding communities, including Sundance Resort.

Park City has an action-packed calendar of events this fall, complete with film screenings, music, and endless things to do in Park City. No matter what the season, shopping and dining in Park City is perfect for any occasion.

Fall is in the air and the colors are already popping! If you’ve never visited in the fall, you are missing out!
