This Week in Park City – 6″ of New Snow!
It’s beginning to look a lot more like the holidays in Park City with 6″ of new snow at our Resorts overnight. With the Resorts reporting up to a 20″ base so far, with 27″ of total snow so far this season, we’re finally off to a great start. December is an amazing time to visit Park City, and This Week in Park City is no exception, especially before the after the Christmas rush. Here are some activities and events happening This Week in Park City.
Dec 4-10 – BRANDed PC at the Kimball Art Center
BRANDed PC, a pop-up shop created by Park City Summit County Arts Council to highlight local creative brands, will be in the Kimball’s Main Gallery December 4-10. BRANDed PC is a celebration of the power of community, the power of buying local, and the power of our local visionaries, makers and risk takers. MORE DETAILS
Dec 6 – Skate with Santa at the Park City Ice Rink
Enjoy complimentary skating and rentals during this fun-filled community event! The event also includes complimentary cookies, hot chocolate, face painting, and holiday ornament making. Members of the PCHS choir will be signing Holiday Classics!
Dec 8 – Dance to the Holidays at the Dejoria Center
The family-friendly Dance To The Holidays features Celebrity pro performers from Dancing With The Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. With all your favorite heart-warming Christmas music – along with a Holiday twist – as dancers are joined by American Idol finalists delivering hit songs. Bring the whole family and have some great holiday fun with us.
Dec 9 – FIRST30 Concert – Andy Frasco and the UN at Canyons Village
Park City Resort/Canyons Village is continuing #FIRST30 with a concert on the Canyons Village Stage, featuring Andy Frasco & the U.N. Averaging 250 shows per year, 10 countries, at least 10,000 hours playing music, and countless satisfied fans, the past decade has been nothing short of an odyssey for Andy Frasco & The U.N.
Dec 9 – Robert Cray at the Eccles Center – 7:30 pm
Five-time GRAMMY winner and Blues Hall of Fame member Robert Cray (December 9, 2017), brings his soulful voice to our stage for a night that draws the blues out of rock, gospel, pop, soul and R&B. Bonnie Raitt calls him a “bad ass, who puts on one of the best shows you’ll ever see.” With a sound NPR called “the deftest possible blend of emotional misery and instrumental majesty—just the way blues ought to be,” he will stir your soul.
Dec 16-31, 2017 – SnowFest at Park City Mountain
Snowfest is a 16-day winter festival including après musical acts, village entertainers, and more from Sat., Dec. 16 – Sun., Dec. 31. SnowFest kicks off with the arrival of Santa on the Town Lift on the 16th of December, and don’t forget the Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade and New Year’s Eve Festivities.
