Fall in Park City

Vicki Gaebe

It's finally fall in Park City, even though it doesn't officially begin until tomorrow.  Fall is a gorgeous time to visit Park City. The leaves are turning and the crisp weather is perfect for exploring the mountains and strolling Historic Main Street.

Here is a list of our Top 10 favorite favorite things to do in Park City in the fall.

  1. A great way to immerse yourself in the beauty of these mountains in the Autumn is to head out on some of our most spectacular hikes. We are lucky to live in a place where we have access to a plethora of trails that highlight some of our best scenery from shady aspen groves, high alpine lakes, and wildflowers, to autumn leaves, wildlife, and epic views.  Bloods Lake is a local Park City favorite in the fall, as the trail is relatively easy but does have some moderately steep areas and can get very crowded as it is a very popular hike.
  2. Located at Park City Mountain Resort's Canyons Village, the Farmers' Market features local purveyors every Wednesday through October.
  3. Experience Park City’s 450 miles of mountain biking trails with a guide from White Pine Touring who will show you the perfect trail for your skill and ability level. A tour is a great option for visitors and locals alike. Your guide will have plenty of trail suggestions that match your ability level and potentially even offer options that are completely new to you. If you are looking to discover your next favorite trail in Park City, we highly suggested taking a guided tour from White Pine.
  4. Park City scenic drives are a favorite in the fall. Plan an hour drive, or spend the day on one of the mapped Park City scenic drives from Park City to our surrounding communities, including Sundance Resort.
