Mountain Biking
There’s nothing quite like Park City mountain biking at high altitude. And with over 400 miles of single-track trails, there is a good reason why Park City’s mountain biking trails have been designated with IMBA’s Gold Level Ride Area status. Mountain biking and hiking may be the most popular summertime sports in Park City; it’s no wonder with over 400 miles of trails to explore throughout Park City. Mountain biking in Park City is just one of many reasons why so many visitors keep coming back to experience Park City in the summer. Up here, the air is a little cleaner, the temperatures a little cooler, and the wildflowers a bit more vibrant.

Lift-Served Mountain Biking
Park City Resort offers lift-served mountain biking and scenic chairlift rides for summer visitors, providing panoramic views of the Wasatch and the Uinta Mountains. Deer Valley’s lifts provide direct access to more than 70 miles of mountain trails, including some of the area’s best single-track trails, including plenty of vertical for those looking to test their mountain biking skills. Park City/Canyons Village features Park City’s only mountain bike park, offering three-wide trails with smooth, gravity-focused riding for all abilities. Start your Park City summer adventure from the base of Park City Mountain Resort or get a head start on one of the Resorts lift-served chairlifts. The variety of terrain on the mountain makes trails accessible to all ability levels. Pick up a trail map at any of the Resorts, and make sure you bring your helmet. If you’re not up to torching calories on the trails, explore our Resorts by way of a scenic chairlift ride and enjoy all the mountain-air benefits without the exertion.

Mountain Trails Foundation is a member-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to building, maintaining, and protecting trails for non-motorized recreation in the Park City area. They maintain approximately 400 miles of continuous, non-motorized recreational trails, which run through our three world-class ski resorts. From mountainous, alpine terrain reaching altitudes of nearly 10,000’ to the rolling high desert, Park City’s trail system is predominantly buffed single-track interspersed with occasional technical sections. Park City trails are open to hiking/trail-running, mountain biking, and equestrian trail users. In 2008, Park City was recognized by the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) as the only Gold Level Ride Center in the world. To this day, Park City maintains that designation. “We’re awarding our highest designation to this amazing mountain bike destination. No location better exemplifies the Ride Center ideal of offering great options for any level of rider and any style of riding.” Both the Mid Mountain and Flying Dog trails are recognized as IMBA Epic Trails.
