Other Activities
In Park City, there are lots of activities that don't involve hitting the slopes! Here's a sampling (feel free to call our reservations office at 800-245-6417 ext. 2 for more helpful ideas):
Shopping
Our historic Main Street is home to a wide variety of shops with offerings ranging from fine art to T-shirts! Most of the stores are open by 10am and stay open late, usually until 10pm during the winter season for your shopping convenience.
Arts & Culture
In addition to the galleries on Main Street, Park City offers a wide variety of visual and performing arts. The Eccles Center for the Performing Arts brings top national performers to town on a regular basis, while the Mary G Steiner Egyptian Theater is our excellent local stage, every January, the Sundance Film Festival bring Park City to the forefront of the movie world with it's focus on independent film and every weekend our Park City Film Series brings back many of the award winners from Sundance along with other excellent "non-mainstream" options.
Recreation
Skiing and snowboarding are only the tip of the iceberg for outdoor and indoor recreation here in Park City. You can go for a sleigh ride, take an exciting run down the slopes on an innertube, wake up early and go for a hot air balloon ride, go snowshoeing, take a wild or more mellow ride on a snowmobile, test your nerve by learning how to ski jump at the Utah Olympic Park or relax at one of our many local spas.
There are also over a hundred miles of trails in and around Park City that appear once the snow melts and are perfect for hiking, biking and horse riding. Our summer activities also include golfing at the local Park City Municipal Golf Course (when you stay with us we can help you reserve a tee time even more than the regular 7 days in advance), fly fishing on any number of blue ribbon streams in the area, riding the Alpine Slide at the Park City Mountain Resort and our multitude of festivals and other events that occur on practically every weekend of the summer.
Just around the corner from Park City is the Jordanelle Reservoir with 3,000 acres of water-skiing, wakeboarding and fishing. A bit further away are the Uintah Mountains with every kind of wilderness adventure that can be imagined - camping, fishing, hunting, helicopter and snowcat skiing and more!
